Now that htings have settled down for hte weeks end I can write something down.
It took all of this last week to get everything straightened out with school for this quarter. My classes, adding, dropping, re-adding, getting the cashiers office to charge my credit card (no really, it took them over a month to actually charge me), getting housing to give me a bed set that actually bunked properly. They still haven't fixed the broken window screen (say hello to your neighborhood flying insects.)
So anyway, I finally have my foom orgnaized how I like and it feels like home again. Which is good because now I can relax and focus on other more important things.
My current #1 on the bastard from hell list (don't worry its not even five long yet)
Hewlett Packard
Reason:
The jerks had me send in my tabletPC when it stopped working(still under hardware warrenty) and now claim that they can't fix it because parts that aren't covered by the warrenty are broken. Sounds legit so far, but here's the catch, those parts have nothing to do wit the function of the computer. They sighted two things: they claim the battery is broken and my com port is damaged. When I sent them my tablet the battery had a crack in the decoration plastic that made it look nice when fitted to the machine (read: no functional value to the dmaged area). Also the button on the com port was broken off, again a plastic button on the outside case is not going to affect the circuitry running my machine. So I am under the impression that they merely tried to get $66 out of me for parts that are only superficially damaged. When I called foul they said a customer representative would get in contact with me within 48 hours. As of this writing it will be a little over 96hrs without any calls or messages, to my phone, e-mail, or home phone. Thus leaving me livid about the entire situation.
I really want my tablet back because it would be really useful for two of my classes. My teachers have thier powerpoint presentations online and so if I had the tablet I could have them on there during the lecture and write my notes directly onto the slides. The whole reason I got the thing was to make taking notes easier in class, not to mention being able to look up in depth what is being lectured on from internet sources.
Besides, it was my new toy and it's been out of commission since four days after I got it =(
In cheerful news my Aikido instructor complimented me on my progress during my last practice. Almost as good as a gold star in kindergarden!
